Authenticity through images

Above all, I try to keep it real. I strive to create work that is true and sincere, regardless of its purpose. Whether it be a film, music video, documentary, or commercial, I wish to work on projects that illuminate and excite in collaboration with people interested in doing the same.

  • That’s actually a great question, but answering it is a near impossible endeavor on this website alone. The short and boring answer is that I fell into it because I thought it was fun and interesting as a kid. A better answer, and one that more accurately answers why I’ve stayed on the path of filmmaking up till today, is that I think the camera is a very powerful tool in the right hands, but a dangerous weapon in the wrong ones (both literally and figuratively). As filmmakers, whether we acknowledge it or not, we have a tremendous responsibility to do right with what we create, and that’s exactly the kind of challenge that drives me in life.

Humanism and human ecology. Those are the things I’m really concerned with. We shape the world around us, and it in turn shapes us. Only by realizing the extent to which this relationship exists can we exercise our power to change the world for better. I feel like my mission in life involves some sort of sharing of my understanding of the world and inspiring others to rethink how they perceive the world, hopefully realizing that they have the power to make it better. So when I say I wish to work on projects that illuminate and excite, I mean I hope to be a part of the process of creating cultural works that challenge our preconceived notions of how things are and how they ought to be.

  • That’s an impossible question, but maybe a 22B, maybe a mk1 escort, or an r32 gtr
